Osteopathy Treatments

Osteopathy TreatmentsOsteopathy promotes well being by treating the following structures when they are not working properly: joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves. Treatment may consist of gentle manipulations, articulation and traction – to relieve pain and improve tissue health. Osteopathy can be used on patients of all ages – from birth to beyond retirement.

All our osteopaths are members of the General Osteopathic Council which governs the practice of osteopathy and ensures the highest standards of safety, competence and professional development.

What happens when you consult an osteopath?

Before any treatment is carried out, a detailed case history is taken with the patient, noting all factors that could be important in reaching a diagnosis. Such as: age, occupation, when the symptoms began and how they progressed, also full medical history.

Osteopathy TreatmentsOnly then is an examination carried out to evaluate which part and how much of the body is involved.
